iPhone Email Settings

To Configure your Iphone for an email ID follow the steps given below:

Step 1: Tap on Settings



Step 2: Tap on Mail, Contacts, Calendars



Step 3: Tap on Add Account...



Step 4: Tap on other





Please click on the required account type :

• POP Configuration (use this only if iPhone is the main device, else configure as IMAP)
• IMAP Configuration

POP Configuration

Step 5: Enter your details and click on Save: -



Step 5: Tap on POP and provide the required details.

Eg:

Name: John Smith
Address: - jsmith@example.com

Incoming Mail Server

Hostname: - mail.example.com
Username: - jsmith@example.com
Password: - *****



Outgoing Mail Server

Hostname: - mail.example.com
Username: - Jsmith
Password:- ********

Save the settings



Step 6: Tap on Mail, Contacts, Calendars



Step 7: Tap on your Account



Scroll down and tap on Advanced



Incoming Settings:

SSL: OFF

Authentication: Password

Delete from Server: Never

Server Port: 995



Tap on Email name on the top

Step 8: Tap on SMTP.



Go to Primary Server

Tap on your server name to enter the settings



You should now be good to go.

Go to main menu on your Iphone and tap on Mail to check your mails.


IMAP Configuration

Enter the details in the fields

Name: Your Name
Address: Your email address
Password: Your account password

Select NEXT

Fill in the details as below



Make sure the IMAP Tab is selected as shown below.

Please fill up the details as shown below.



Fill the remaining details as follows

HOST Name : mail.example.com
USER Name: Your Email ID

OUTGOING MAIL SERVER SETTINGS

HOST NAME : mail.example.com

Select Next

You might get an pop up like the one shown below, press on Continue



Select Save as shown on the below screen



You should now be good to go.

Go to main menu on your Iphone and tap on Mail to check your mails.
